Lost

Words failed her. What she wanted more than anything was to be heard. Understood. To make some semblance of sense out of everything she was feeling. Alone. Lost. Bitter. Hopeless. Everything she tried to block out. For the most part, she succeeded. She could push back the dark, for a while. But it always came back with a vengeance. Would it finally drive her over the edge, or would she live to fight another day?
